STAFF ORIENTATION – GTUC TAKORADI CAMPUS
The GTUC Takoradi Campus held an interactive staff orientation programme for all staff and faculty members. The orientation programme which was facilitated by the Office of the Deputy Registrar was to introduce staff members
to the vision, mission, core values, organizational structure and reporting lines, the number of faculties and their respective programmes among others.
The Deputy Registrar, Ms. Jennifer Akude was the facilitator of this orientation. She said staff members should know that they represent the University College in the whole of the Western Region therefore members should represent GTUC with pride and integrity.
Ms Akude also said that the staff orientation will create an opportunity for staff members to learn the GTUC administrative and communication channels that will enable them to effectively perform their duties accordingly with little or no challenges in the process.
The Head of Academics, Mr. Luki Bayuasi explained the roles and responsibilities of faculty members, he specifically touched on submission of exams questions for moderation, submission of marked scripts as well as uploading student results.
Participants of the orientation comprised; administrative staff and faculty members. They were given the opportunity to ask questions during the Q & A session while some selected units also shared with new staff strategies carried
out to achieve goals and objectives in tandem with the University’s vision 2021.
The session ended on a good note as current and newly recruited employees became well informed about GTUC.
