GTUC has instituted a Study Abroad Programme which is managed by the International Programmes Office. The first batch of students to take advantage of the programme has returned from ISC Paris, France.
The programme is collaboration between GTUC and ISC Paris Business School in France for students at the masters level pursuing MBA programmes.
Participants attended several seminars and benefits derived include how to:
An aspect of the seminar was design to ensure that student s experience the predominant French cultures. Participants had lectures in introduction to wine tasting. They also experienced authentic French cuisine and royal luxury lifestyle. Students visited the luxurious Palace of Versailles.
The group visited Geodis Calberson, a logistics hub in stocktaking, cross docking, order picking and general engineering of supply chain projects. Participants experienced well designed logistics operations with well developed supplier development relationships.
Participants had the privilege of visiting key heritage sites in France including Notre Dame, Chateau de Versailles, Eiffel Tower among others. It turned out to be a very stimulating experience or all participants.
The team from GTUC mixed very well and developed effective social (and possibly) business relationships with participants from other countries. As a follow up, participants with similar lines of profession have been exchanging ideas on an identified platform. Participants commended GTUC for the brilliant idea for the introduction of the study tour.
Speaking at an interview, an MBA student who participated in the programme, Miss Cynthia Franca Ashalley said “indeed the programme has been a turning point educational experience”.
