GTUC Offers Free ICT Training

GTUC-Kumasi Campus has given free ICT training to staff of some organizations in Kumasi.

The training which lasted for 3 months was on Microsoft Office Suite and Basic Internet techniques. The main objective of the training was to equip the participants with the basic knowledge of computing in the 21st Century.

This is the 5th session of the free ICT Training being organized for interested corporate organisations by the Kumasi campus as part of GTUC’s social responsibility efforts.

During the closing ceremony, Mr. George Akom, on behalf of the Director of the Kumasi Campus, commended the participants for their seriousness and comportment during the training programme. He used the occasion to talk about GTUC programmes on offer and advised participants to take advantage and pursue higher level education in Business, IT and Engineering.

Ms. Phoebe Abugri, the programme leader expressed the joy of acquiring some skills in ICT and tasked the other participants to put into practice the skills they have acquired. She thanked GTUC for such a wonderful training programme and urged GTUC to continue with such social responsibility.

In her closing remarks, HR& Admin Officer, Miss Jemima Akuako, urged the trainees to be good ambassadors of GTUC.
