GTUC Holds Quality Assurance Seminar

GTUC, Kumasi Campus has held a one-day quality assurance seminar on the theme “Minimizing Waste in Our Service Delivery.” The seminar, which was facilitated by Dr. Kwasi Addai-Donkoh of the Ghana Health Services, was attended by all administrative staff from the Senior Member and Senior Staff categories. The facilitator said that quality assurance is a systematic approach in which a plan is developed to assess, monitor and continuously improve the quality of services rendered in the University College and to GTUC’s clientele. He mentioned that quality assurance is also a cyclical process. He used the seminar to educate staff that it takes the commitment of all staff to support the quality assurance cyclical process that quality service can be rendered devoid of any lapses that have the propensity to cost GTUC. By adhering strictly to quality standards, waste can be eliminated in the University College. Participants at the seminar were given the opportunity to express their opinions during Q and A session. Recommendations were made on how to improve quality assurance in the institution.
